also it appeared that on 3.10.1726 Edm Osborn surrendered by the hands of Solomon Grimston deputy steward three crofts of land containing 12a lying in Earls Colne in the tenure of the said Edm to the use of Thos Hales junior of Earls Colne yeoman on condition that if the said Edm his heirs or assigns etc pay the said Thos the full sum of 63li on 4.10.1727 then the surrender void
