whereas at a court held 8.4.1701 Wm Kent surrendered by the hands of the steward all his copyhold lands and tenements holden of this manor to the use of his last will now at this court it is found that he died since the last court and before his death made his will bearing date 6.1.1727 by which he gave all his freehold and copyhold lands and tenements whatsoever in the county of Essex unto his wife Kath Kent but with condition of payment of several legacies mentioned in the will etc and Kath came and was admitted to 3r of meadow called Longthorps held by the annual rent of 12d and also to a grove and 10a of land called Much Reading lying in White Colne and holden by the annual rent of 2s with appurtenances etc on conditions in the will mentioned and gave fine etc
