at this court cometh in his own person Edw Frith and surrendered all that his customary messuage cottage or tenement with garden adjoining formerly Waytes near the vicarage house of Earls Colne to the use of Jn Newton of Earls Colne gentleman to the intent a recovery may be had of the premises and the said Jn is admitted etc whereupon came Thos Sewell gentleman and demanded against the said Jn the said messuage and premises by the name of one messuage one yard and one garden with appurtenances in Earls Colne etc and Jn came and defended his right etc and brought to warrant the said Edw Fryth etc and Edw Fryth brought to warrant Jas Rayner and the said Thos Sewell recovered against the said Jas Rayner etc and Isaac Potter officer of the court as bailiff delivered seisin etc and afterward the said Jn Newton and Edw Fryth surrendered all their right title etc to the said Thos etc and immediately after the said Thos by the direction and appointment of the said Edw Fryth surrendered the premises to the use of Jn Snelling of Earls Colne gentleman his heirs and assigns forever etc whereupon the said Jn was admitted etc to hold by the annual rent of 1d and gave for fine etc
