now dead for themselves and their assigns during the whole term of their life and to the longer liver from the lord as of the same said manor by the rod etc one parcel of a garden containing by estimation in length 6rod and breadth 4rod lying between a garden called
Prudds
on one part and a tenement part of the convent of Colne on the other part as by the metes etc the remainder thereof after their decease and of the longer liver to
Antho Sparrowe
son of the said
Jn
and
Agnes
and his heirs as in a view with court here held
saturday namely 31.7.1540
it was clearly shown she died after the last court seised of such estate and upon this to this court came the said
Antho Sparrowe
and sought admittance to the said parcel of a garden with appurtenances by right of the said remainder and thus it was shown by the homage therefore he was admitted thereof tenant of the lord to whom by the said steward the lord delivered thereof seisin to hold for himself his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor etc and he gave to the lord his fine as is shown in the margin
