to this court came Wm Berye son and heir of Hen Berye deceased and surrendered into the hands of the lord one customary garden built upon lying on Colneford Hill called Perryes Garden to the use and behoof of Thos Lovenaye senior Joan his wife and Thos Lovenaye their son and the heirs of the said Thos Lovenaye the father and Thos Lovenaye his son and their heirs who the same said Thos Lovenaye the father present in court came and sought for himself and Joan his wife and Thos Lovenaye his son admittance thereof and they were admitted thereof tenants of the lord to whom by the steward the lord delivered thereof seisin to hold to them and the heirs of the said Thos Lovenay the father and Thos Lovenay the son and their heirs from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor and they gave to the lord their fine and is shown in the margin
