it is shown by the homage that Eliz Veer widow out of court and after the last court surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Barth Churche bailiff in the presence of Hen Pulleyn and Jn Sydaye tenants of the lord and the same testifying one garden called Kyngs Garden situated and lying in the said Colne to the use and behoof of Wm Carter and Eliz his wife during the whole term of three years next following immediately after the death of the said Eliz Veer widow the remainder thereof after the said three years to Jn Veer her son and the heirs of his body legitimately procreated and in default of such heirs the remainder thereof after his decease to Dorothy Veer daughter of the said Eliz Veer deceased and her heirs who the same said Wm Carter present in court came and sought for himself and the aforesaid Eliz his wife admittance thereof and thus it was shown by the homage and therefore they were admitted thereof tenants of the lord to whom by the steward the lord delivered thereof seisin to hold to them and their assigns during the whole said term from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor etc the remainder thereof after the said Jn as stated above and he gave to the lord his fine as is shown in the margin
