it was presented that

who held for himself and his heirs from the lord as of this manor by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor one little grove or bushet containing by estimation 1a2r called
Colne Grove
lying in Halsted he died before the said court solely seised of and in the said grove with appurtenances in his demesne as of fee according to the custom of the manor and thereupon a certain

now wife of

who was younger daughter and heir of the said

and had the right to the said grove with appurtenances and she the same was admitted tenant of the lord as in the said court is clearly shown however now to this court came a certain
Avis Graye
daughter and heir of a certain
Wm Graye
son and heir of the said

deceased by
Kath Graye
her mother and claimed inheritance of the said small grove with appurtenances as her right and inheritance by consanguinity and as the next heir of the said
Jn Graye
above alleged and sought the right to be examined by the homage and the homage by the agreement both of the said

being present in court were charged with examining the title of the said

upon which the homage say upon their oath that the said

is or has consanguinity as the next heir of the said

deceased viz as the daughter and heir of

deceased as alleged above and that she should have the right to the said little grove with appurtenances and thus it is shown by the homage therefore she is admitted thereof tenant of the lord to whom by the steward the lord delivered thereof seisin to the said
