it is shown by the homage that Jn Farthinge who jointly held together with Eliz his wife now deceased for themselves and their heirs from the lord as of this manor by the rod etc two tenements and one garden adjoining the same situated in the Church St in Earls Colne called The George as etc died after the last court solely seised of and in the said two tenements and garden with appurtenances in his demesne as of fee according to the custom of the manor etc and they further say that Edw Farthinge of full age is brother of the said Jn and next heir thereof and should have the right to the said premises to the two tenements and garden with appurtenances who present in court came and sought admittance thereof and because etc therefore etc to whom etc and he gave etc and made fealty to the lord
