December. 29: Or towards Morning december: 30 indeed; 2 hours before day; being Saturday morning my wife was delivered of her son: which Jan: 14: was baptised by the name of Thomas : Mr Tho: Harlakenden and my Aunt Shepheard were his witnesses, god gave my dear wife strength to nurse, health, both to herself and baby, we were scared with our Chamber chimney Hearth firing but espying it in time it was prevented from any great hurt. this was a great mercy: so has god kept me upon my way. by land and water, prevented falls from Horse, preserved me in falling, for which oh my soul be thankful.
