in my estate, comforts, friends: in my family my dear wife and babes, merciful in carrying me on in my calling; enabling me for his Sabbath, whereon I made my last motion (in respect of present resolution) to my parish, to be careful to gather up my means for me that I might not want; if they did not though I shall not cease to love them, yet I must of necessity then serve providence in another place; Lord stir up their hearts to embrace this offer if you have a will to use me here, if not, I am thine, thy will be done, And no Lord I confess myself unworthy of this goodness in many respects, especially my carriage towards thee, make me more painful and diligent in my place, and profitable, more cheerful and contented in my family. help me and heal me, I bless thee for delivering me from gross wickedness: keep me by thy power to salvation
