Aug: 23: This week also my [cold contin]ued and a very sad one it was, also my sons ague god was good in my wi[fes] health and the little babe , whereby we enjoyed our rest well in the night, and her nu[rsing] help, the Lord drew in my thoughts. and helped me against some temptations: its good to bear the yoke in our youth, the lord mix mercy with our sadness, he was good to me in the Sabbath, in the duties and exercises thereof, the Lord in mercy accept and pardon me and be gracious unto me
