30: Finding the exceeding miss of Hebrew, (whereof although I have a little smattering) yet I begun this day to assume my daily study thereof, which I indent god willing to prosecute, and not to give over if the lord give me life, until I have obtained some indifferent skill thereof, oh my folly to forget my school entrance, and to neglect this study and Cambridge and with no more diligence to pursue it since, Lord in mercy forgive me, and this I do to fit me for a daily exposition of the scripture, which I intend ere long to set upon(.) its good to do that we do quickly, for there is no working in the grave, whither we hasten.
