18: This day was somewhat colder than yesterday: my water was better coloured more like to citron than formerly, but it broke, and so it did not the day before; my former breakings and sediments were red brickish stuff, and much phlegm like putrefied stuff in the bottom: Mr H. came in to me, we had some discourse about baptising my infant , and in that time came in Mr Thompson , who was ready to perform that act for me, the lord wash my Ralph and sanctify him and accept him, and give him this life together with a better if it be his will, my son finely revived, but the night was unto it a very sick night, but god preserved the life in it.
