29: This day I received off Caplin . 3li.10s. I lent him more. 1li.10s. I paid to Wm. Brand 4li. that I owe to him, and I still owe him 4li. mention in the news of a book that says 52. will be a year of wonders to the ruin of Monarchy in Europe especially in France and Portugal: Heard as if some of my money were likely to be paid into my friends hands at London, which if would rejoice me: my Jane very ill, but the Lord very good to us in her cheering, and my persuasion is he will preserve us from that noisome arrow that is abroad.
