July. 24: The Lord my god good to me and mine in many outward refreshing mercies, which I cannot but wonder at, and say, oh how great is his goodness towards the sons of men, yes me a sinful man: the season wonderfully scorching hot, and dry pastures like a wilderness people preparing on all hands for harvest, oh that my flowers, might bloom and ear and ripen to the exalting of the name of god; the lord was good to in the Sabbath I find my heart smiting me in my deadness, and coldness in gods work, and resolving to be otherwise, and some strength I feel, and believe I shall find more, and that my bread shall be sure, and my waters not fail
