senior of the said Earls Colne butcher surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of
Wm Catt
instead of the bailiff in the presence of
Robt Rookes
senior and
Edw Catt
two customary tenants of this manor the same testifying according to the custom of the said manor all that his barn or tenement with all and singular the garden and other certain appurtenances pertaining situated and being in the aforesaid Earls Colne to the use and behoof of
Thos Turner
and his heirs forever upon condition however that the aforesaid
Thos Turner
his heirs executors administrators or assigns or any of them should pay or cause to be paid to the aforesaid
Thos Polley
and
Margery
his wife or and either of them the sum of 50s etc at the four yearly customary feasts by equal portions the first payment thereof to be made at the feast of the nativity next following after the date of the said surrender and if the conditions to the aforesaid
Thos Turner
his heirs executors or assigns should be in default in any payment of the said payments in the aforesaid form it should be that then the provisional licence to the aforesaid

his wife or either of them or the longer liver and their assigns to reenter into the said premises with appurtenances and to have possession of them as in their former estate and this surrender should not stand in any part to whom the same said

present here in court seisin thereof is granted to have to himself and his heirs upon the said conditions to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the customs of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he paid his fine and made fealty and was admitted tenant thereof
