at this court it was presented by the homage that after the last court and before this court Eliz Stevens widow late wife of Thos Smith deceased surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Robt Cobbe instead of the bailiff in the presence of Sam Burton and Thos Smith two customary tenants of this manor all that customary tenement and curtilage with appurtenances called Sebrights or by whatever name it should be known or called to the use and behoof of Thos Man and his heirs forever who the same said Thos present here in court sought admittance to the premises to whom the lord by his said steward granted seisin thereof to him to have for himself and his heirs forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine as is in the margin and he made fealty to the lord and thus was admitted tenant thereof
