whereas at a court here held monday viz 1.7.1568 Rich Parker son and heir of Nich Parker was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and his heirs to certain customary lands with appurtenances called Gosses lying in the said Colne as they are divided by the metes and bounds as by roll of the same said court shown now it is shown by the homage at this court that the said Rich Parker after the last court and before this court died seised of such his estates and premises and that Rich Parker is his son and next heir and should have the right to the premises who the same said Rich present here in court in person came and sought for himself admittance to the premises and because it is shown by the homage as above therefore the lord by his steward granted to him seisin thereof to have to himself and his heirs to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor and all rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine as is shown etc and is admitted thereof tenant and his fealty is respited until etc and because the said Rich Parker is under age therefore custody of his body and the said land is committed to Margt Parker his mother to have to herself and her assigns until he reaches the age of 21years then to return to him the profits
