whereas at a view with court here held thursday being 1.10.1612 Jeff Potter was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and his heirs to one piece or parcel of pasture called Rushefield containing by estimation about 6a divided from the rest of the said pasture and also to one part or parcel of a certain meadow called Rushemeadow containing by estimation 2a1r lying in the said Colne as by copy of a roll of the said court here in full court brought and clearly produced and shown now at this court it is shown by the homage of this court that the said Jeff Potter out of this court and after the last court surrendered the said premises with appurtenances into the hands of the lord by the hands of Simon Ive instead of the bailiff in the presence of Sam Brewer and Robt Parker two customary tenants of the manor the same testifying according to the custom of the said manor to the use and behoof of Jeff himself and Ann now his wife and their heirs forever who the same said Jeff and Ann present here in court sought thereof admittance for themselves to whom the lord by his said steward granted thereof seisin to them to have to them and their heirs forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and they gave to the lord their fine and made fealty and were admitted thereof tenants of the lord
