his wife were tenants of the lord to themselves and the heirs of

herself forever to one parcel of a waste field of this manor upon which one cottage is built containing in length 7rod and in breadth 2rod one head thereof abutting to the north the other head abutting to the south and lying between the land of
Hayhouse
on one part towards the east and the queens highway leading from Colne to Colne Park on the other part towards the west as by copy of a roll of the said court here produced in court and clearly shown now at this court it is shown by the homage that after the last court and before this court the aforesaid

his wife surrendered the said premises with appurtenances into the hands of the lord of the said manor by the hands of
Wm Dashe
instead of the bailiff in the presence of
Barth Clarke
and
Lance Pryor
customary tenants of the said manor the same testifying according to the custom of the said manor to the use and behoof of
Jn Ayleward
his heirs and assigns forever and also to this court came the said
Thos Pryor
and
Agnes
in person
Agnes
being solely and secretly and lawfully examined by the said steward according to the custom of the said manor and surrendered the said premises with appurtenances to the use and behoof of
Jn Ayleward
himself his heirs and assigns forever upon which to this same said court came the said
Jn Ayleward
and humbly sought admittance to the said premises with appurtenances to whom the lord by his said steward granted to him seisin thereof to have to him and his heirs forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the customs of the said manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine and made fealty and was admitted thereof tenant of the lord
