whereas at a view with court here held 3.4.1616 Jn Burton was admitted for himself and his heirs by the surrender of Sam Burton his father to one messuage or a tenement with a barn orchard and garden adjoining the same with appurtenances called Dynes as by a roll of a certain court fully binding and certain now at this court it is shown by the homage that after the last court and before this court the aforesaid Jn Burton surrendered the said premises into the hands of the lord by the hands of Jn Reade instead of the bailiff in the presence of Edw Cressner and Robt Crowe two customary tenants of the manor the same testifying according to the custom of the said manor to the use and behoof of Jeff Potter and Ann now his wife and their heirs forever upon which to this court came the aforesaid Jeff Potter and Ann his wife and humbly sought admittance thereof for themselves according to the form and effect of the said surrender to whom the lord by his said steward granted to them seisin thereof to have to them and their heirs from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and they gave to the lord their fines and made fealty and were admitted thereof tenants of the lord
