and also at this court it is shown that after the last court and before this court Nich Kendall customary tenant of this same manor surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Jn Parker bailiff of the manor in the presence of Jn Pierson and Robt Crowe two customary tenants of this same manor the same testifying according to the custom of the said manor two parcels of customary land late parcel of customary lands called Chewniesland containing by estimation about 8a upon which one cottage has now been built and all other appurtenances now in the tenure or occupation of Jn Bridge to the use and behoof of Kath Harlakenden one of the daughters of Thos Harlakenden and the heirs of Kath herself forever upon condition now however that if the said Nich Kendall his heirs or assigns should well and truly pay or cause to be paid to the aforesaid Thos Harlakenden his executors or assigns the full sum of 80li at or before the 13.6.1622 at or in the dwelling house of Rich Harlakenden esq called Colne Priory situated in Earls Colne that then this present surrender should be void otherwise it should remain in full strength and force
