and also at this court it is shown by the homage that after the last court and before this court Thos Norfolke customary tenant of this same manor surrendered into the hands of the lord of the said manor by the hands of Jas Williamson instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Pierson and Robt Crowe two customary tenants of this manor the same testifying according to the custom of the said manor all that his reversion or remainder of and in a certain tenement and garden with appurtenances lying and being in Holt St also Brook St held of this same manor by copy of a roll of this same court immediately after the decease of the aforesaid Thos Norfolk and Mary his wife to the use and behoof of Thos Harlakenden gentleman his heirs and assigns forever who the same said Thos Harlakenden present here in court humbly sought from the lord admittance to the remainder or reversion of the said premises to whom the lord by his said steward granted thereof seisin of the said premises to have to him and his heirs when it should occur to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave the lord his fine but his fealty however was respited until etc and he was admitted thereof tenant of the lord
