whereas at a view with court here held 17.8.1581 Thomasine now wife of Hen Abbott senior by name Thomasine Culverton was admitted for herself and her heirs to three crofts of land called Husseyes containing 4a of land late parcel of a tenement and 30a of land called Crudds according as the said croft of land was lying next to Crudds Lane towards the east as it is clearly divided and shown by the metes and bounds as by copy of a roll of the said court clearly fully shown now to this court came the aforesaid Hen Abbott senior and the said Thomasine his wife in person and Thomasine herself first solely and secretly by the said steward examined as is the custom and acknowledged and surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the said steward the said three crofts of land with appurtenances with this intention that the lord should graciously regrant the same to the aforesaid Thomasine for her natural lifetime the remainder thereof after her death to Hen Abbott her son and Joan wife of the aforesaid Hen the son and the heirs and assigns of the said Hen the son to whom the same said Thomasine Hen Abbott the son and Joan at this same said court the lord by his said steward regranted and delivered to them seisin thereof to have to the aforesaid Thomasine for and during the term of her natural life the remainder thereof after her decease to the aforesaid Hen Abbott the son and the said Joan his wife and the heirs and assigns of Hen himself the son forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents customs and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and then the aforesaid Thomasine and the said Hen Abbott the son and Joan gave to the lord their fines for entry as is shown in the margin     and the aforesaid Thomasine and Hen made fealty to the lord but the fealty of the aforesaid Joan was respited and thus the aforesaid Thomasine Hen the son and Joan were admitted thereto in the said form tenants of the lord etc
