it is also shown by the homage that Geo Pilgrim out of court and after the last court namely 11.2.1623 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Wm Adams instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Bridge and Jn Grigges two customary tenants the same testifying according to the custom of the said manor all his customary lands and tenements and inheritances whatsoever held of the said manor by copy of court roll to the use and behoof of Jn Pilgrim his son and his heirs and assigns forever to whom the same certain Jn present here in court the lord by his said steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have to himself and his heirs to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents customs and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he paid therefore to the lord his fine and fealty and was admitted thereof tenant etc
