it is shown also by the homage that Margt Greene widow out of court and after the last court namely 29.4.1622 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Dan Lea instead of the bailiff in the presence of Edw Cresner and Jeff Potter two customary tenants the same testifying according to the custom of the said manor one cottage with appurtenances in the said Colne named or known by the name of Jeggons once of Lawrence Jeggons (Lewis Jeggons ) to the use and behoof of Wm Greene son of the same Margt his heirs and assigns forever who the same Wm present here in court the lord by his said steward granted and delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have to himself and his heirs to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents customs and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he paid his fine and fealty and was admitted thereof tenant etc
