it is shown also by the homage that Jn Church gentleman customary tenant of this manor out of court and after the last court viz 19.11.1621 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Simon Ive instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jeff Potter and Rich Warde two customary tenants of the lord the same witnessing according to the custom of the said manor all that his two closes or fields commonly called Parkfield and Chewneyes or by whatever other name or any other name the same is called or known containing by estimation about 10a to the use and behoof of Jn Bridge or Earls Colne and his heirs forever to whom the same said Jn Bridge present here in court the lord by his said steward granted and delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have to himself and his heirs to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents customs and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he made therefore to the lord his fine and fealty and was admitted thereof tenant etc
