it is shown also by the homage that Barth Church gentleman by his deed of enfeoffment bearing the date 27.10.1620 alienated and sold to Wm Clopton gentleman and Walt Clopton gentleman and their heirs all that free tenement and garden with appurtenances sometime of Geo Byson and now in the occupation of Wm Cosyn and all that croft of land or pasture called Barecroft with appurtenances upon condition that 109li is paid by the aforesaid Wm Clopton and Walt Clopton upon 21.10.1621 upon which now to this court came the aforesaid Wm Clopton and made fealty to the lord for the said tenement and land and is accepted thereof tenant of the lord
