whereas at a court here held wednesday being 11.1.1599 Rose Church wife of Jn Church deceased was admitted tenant of the lord by the surrender of Geo Mowlde and Mary his wife Mary herself being solely and secretly examined by the said steward for the term of the natural lifetime of Rose herself to three crofts of customary land called Warkemans containing by estimation about 10a of land as it is divided and shown by the metes and bounds the remainder thereof after her decease to Jn Church son of the said Jn Church and Rose his wife his heirs and assigns forever as by court roll here in court lawfully and fully produced and shown now at this court it is shown by the homage that Rose Church after the last court and before this court died seised thereof of such her estate and that Jn Church present here in court humbly seeks admittance to the premises to whom the lord by his said steward granted seisin thereof to have for himself and his heirs to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine as is shown in the margin and made fealty to the lord and was admitted thereof tenant of the lord
