at this court the lord being in court in person by his grace specifically granted out of his hands to a certain Jas Burton one parcel of land of the lord's waste lying upon Colneford Hill in Earls Colne containing 4rod in length and 4rod in breadth or thereabouts lying next to the tenement called The Swinestye in the tenure or occupation of the said Jas Burton and the steward delivered seisin to him by the rod to have the said parcel of land of the lord's waste with appurtenances to the said Jas Burton his heirs and assigns forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by fealty suit at court to be made three times weekly within three weeks and the annual rent of 2d at the customary feasts for payment within the said manor and he gave to the lord for a fine for such entry and made fealty to the lord and was admitted thereof tenant of the lord
