and furthermore it is shown by the homage that Thos Pryor junior after the last court and before this court viz 29.9.1628 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Jn Read instead of the bailiff in the presence of Thos Allen and Clem Turnor two customary tenants of the said manor the same testifying according to the custom of the said manor 3p of customary land held from the curtilage taken out of the yard pertaining to the messuage in which the aforesaid Thos then lived and adjoining the curtilage pertaining to the messuage in which Wm Greene then was living to the use and behoof of the said Wm Greene his heirs and assigns forever to whom the lord by the said steward granted seisin thereof to have the said 3p of land to the said Wm Greene his heirs and assigns forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord for a fine and made fealty to the lord and was admitted thereof tenant and afterwards in the same court and the court sitting came the aforesaid Wm Greene in person and surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the said steward the aforesaid 3p of land with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Thos Gooden and his heirs forever to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have the aforesaid 3p of land with appurtenances to the said Thos Gooden and his heirs forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord for a fine and made fealty to the lord and was admitted thereof tenant
