to this court came Jn Baylie alias Smyth customary tenant of this manor and in full court surrendered into the hands of the said steward two cottages now made into one and in the tenure and occupation of Jn Osborne and Jn Parker# or their assigns lying in Earls Colne to the use and behoof of Dionisia Hawksby wife of Jn Hawksby vicar of Earls Colne and before that wife of illegible text Lancaster illegible text and after her decease to the use and behoof of Mary Lancaster the eldest child and to the heirs of her body legitimately procreated and in default of such heirs to the use and behoof of Margt Lancaster second child and the heirs of her body legitimately procreated and in default of such issue then to the use and behoof of illegible text now at this court came the said Dionisia and Mary and humbly sought admittance thereof according to the said surrender to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have the aforesaid two cottages with appurtenances to the said Dionisia and her assigns for the lifetime of the said Dionisia and after her decease the remainder thereof to the said Mary and the heirs of the said Mary legitimately procreated to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents customs and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and they paid their fines and the said Jn Hawksby and Dionisia made fealty to the lord but the fealty of the said Mary was respited until etc
