to this court came Robt Parker and Joan his wife customary tenants of this manor for themselves and their heirs and in full and open court Joan herself solely and secretly examined by the steward as is the custom surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the said steward one tenement called Mordens sometime of Hen Layer and illegible text of a parcel of land called Tollehouse Green lately built on containing in length 6rod of land and in breadth 12ft to the use and behoof of Steph Champney and his heirs forever upon the condition that the aforesaid Steph Champney his executors or assigns should pay or cause to be paid to the said Robt Parker and Joan his wife their executors or administrators 15li# at or upon the 15.9.1631 following the date of this court at or in the dwelling house of the said Robt Parker situated in Marks Tey in the county of Essex upon which came here into court the aforesaid Steph Champney and sought admittance to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin thereof upon the said conditions to have the said tenement and other premises with appurtenances to the said Steph Champney his heirs and assigns forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine and made fealty to the lord and was admitted thereof tenant
