fine 4lito this court comes Jn Potter and Grace his wife Thos Mann and Jane his wife and Ann Fish widow daughters and coheirs of Randall Greene deceased and in open court the said Grace and Jane being solely and secretly examined by the steward of the court according to custom surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the steward one cottage or customary tenement with adjoining gardens and appurtenances called Cocks lying in Holt St in Earls Colne aforesaid to the use and behoof of Grace Sillitoe and her heirs forever whereupon the said Grace Sillitoe came into court and humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by his said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have the said cottage and gardens with appurtenances to Grace Sillitoe and her heirs forever and to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor aforesaid by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and of right accustomed and she gave to the lord her fine and made fealty and was admitted tenant
