at a court here held 14.10.1624 Edw Somerson was admitted tenant to himself and his heirs to one tenement or cottage called Stacyes with appurtenances according as is clearly shown by the said court roll now at this court it is shown by the homage that the said Edw Somerson after the said court and before this court viz 6.10.1633 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Adam Brewer instead of the bailiff in the presence of Rich Kempe and Wm Adams two customary tenants of the said manor according to the custom of the said manor the said cottage with appurtenances under the description one cottage garden and yard pertaining to the said cottage with appurtenances called Stacyes to the use and behoof of Jn Boundes and his heirs forever who present here in court humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by his said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have the said cottage garden and yard with appurtenances to the said Jn Bounds his heirs and assigns forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine and made fealty
