to this court Ann Harlakenden daughter of Thos Harlakenden gentleman customary tenant of this manor of one customary cottage and garden pertaining called Littmans in the tenure of Jn Reade came and in full and open court surrendered to the lord by the hands of his steward the said cottage and garden with appurtenances to the use and behoof of the said Jn Reade and Ann his wife for their lifetime and to the longer liver and after their decease to the use of Jn Reade son of the said Jn and Ann and the heirs of the said Jn Reade junior forever whereupon came here into court the said Jn Reade and Ann his wife and humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have the said cottage and garden with appurtenances to the said Jn Reade and Ann his wife for their lifetime and to the longer liver the remainder thereunto in the said form to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and the said Jn and Ann his wife gave to the lord their fine etc and made fealty
