and furthermore it is shown by the homage that the said Rose Rosse after the said surrender and before this court died whereupon came here into court the said Roger Harlakenden in person and in full and open court surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the said steward the said messuage and all and singular the premises with appurtenances and all rights etc in the said messuage and other premises with appurtenances to the use and behoof of the said Edw Alleston of Earls Colne gentleman and Mabel his wife and the heirs of the body of the said Edw to the last born and in default of such heirs the remainder thereof to the rightful heirs of the said Edw Alleston forever to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said messuage and other premises with appurtenances to the said Edw Alleston and Mabel and the heirs of his body to the last born the remainder thereof in the aforesaid form by the rod at the will of the lord according to the customs of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and they gave to the lord their fine and the said Edw made fealty etc
