and furthermore at this court it is shown by the homage that Wm Nevill gentleman customary tenant of this manor after the last general court and before this court viz 22.12.1635 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Edm Turner instead of the bailiff in the presence of Wm Harlakenden and Edw Cressner gentleman two customary tenants of the said manor according to the custom of the said manor all those four crofts of land called Michells with appurtenances to the use and intention of the last will of the said Wm Nevill and afterwards and before this court he died thus seised thereof and furthermore it is shown by the homage that the said Wm Nevill on the said day of december 22.12.1635 as is mentioned above surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the said Edm Turner instead of the bailiff in the presence of the said Wm Harlakenden and Edw Cressner two customary tenants of the said manor according to the customs of the said manor one customary tenement called Hobstevens and one croft of land called Pitchards with appurtenances now in the tenure of Wm Nicholls or his assigns to the use and intention of the last will and testament of the said Wm Nevill and afterwards and before this court he died seised thereof and that Rich Nevill is his son and heir and is under age etc
