whereas at a view of frankpledge with court baron here held 18.2.1606 Margt wife of Jn Greggs was admitted tenant of the lord for her lifetime by the surrender of Jn Woodward the remainder thereof to Joan daughter of the said Margt and recently the wife of Wm Lungley and the heirs of the body of the said Joan legitimately procreated the remainder thereof to the closest heir of Woodward to two crofts of land called Petticrofts also Pettcrofts containing about 4a of land with appurtenances now at this court it is shown by the homage that the said Margt after the said mentioned court and before this court died thus seised thereof and that Joan Lungley after the death of the said Margt and before this court died and that Jn Lungley is son and heir of the body of the said Joan legitimately procreated and he is under age viz about 18yrs whereupon came here into court the said Jn Lungley and humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have the said croft of land to the said Jn Lungley and the heirs of his body legitimately procreated to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the customs of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine and because the said Jn Lungley as is shown above therefore custody of the body of the said Jn Lungley as well as the said lands and tenements was entrusted and delivered by the rod to the said Wm Lungley father of the said Jn during the minority of the said Jn to have the land benefits and other of his related estates and for such custody he gave to the lord his fine and made fealty and was admitted tenant thereof
