and furthermore whereas at a court here held 7.10.1618 Jn Allen was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and his heirs to one cottage built on the lords waste containing in width to one boundary 10virgates and to the other boundary 4virgates and in length 45virgates one head thereof abutting towards the south west the other head towards the north west and lying between the lands late of Wm Finch on one part towards the east and the highway leading from the said Colne towards Colne Park on the other part towards the west according as it is shown by the said court roll now at this court it is shown by the homage that after the said court and before this court the said Jn Allen died seised thereof and that Jn Allen is his son and heir of the said Jn and is under age viz 14yrs whereupon into court came the said Jn Allen and humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said cottage and other premises with appurtenances to the said Jn Allen his heirs and assigns forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the customs of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine and his fealty is respited
