whereas at a court here held 11.6.1633 Thos Rampton and Judith his wife were admitted tenants of the lord for themselves and the heirs of the said Thos to one customary cottage with yard pertaining called Brayes as is shown by the said court roll now at this court it is shown by the homage that the said Thos after the said court died seised thereof and that the said Judith herself survived and lives in full health and that Thos Rampton is their son and heir who present in court humbly sought admittance to the reversion of the said cottage and yard with appurtenances to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said reversion of the said cottage and yard with appurtenances to the said Thos and his heirs from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed with the said reversion to be in his possession and he gave to the lord his fine etc and the lord present in court acknowledged himself to be satisfied with 50s from the said Thos Rampton the father paid for the admission of the said Thos Rampton and Judith his wife to the said cottage and yard with appurtenances according to the conditions in the said roll for the court held 11.6.1633 as said above
