and furthermore to this court came the said Jas Potter who held for himself and his heirs 1r of customary land late parcel of Bearcrofte and 1a of land late parcel of Bearcroft as is shown by the court roll bearing the said 8.1.1645 and in full and open court he surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the said steward the said 1r of land more or less and the said 1a of land more or less with appurtenances to the use and behoof of the said Wm Harlakenden and Smithea his wife and the heirs of the said Wm forever who present in court humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said 1r and 1a of land with appurtenances to the said Wm and Smithea and the heirs of the said Wm from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the customs of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and they gave to the lord their fine etc
