and furthermore it is shown by the homage upon the oath of Wm Adams and Robt Andrewes presented in court that Lance Prior after the last court surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Edw Harris instead of the bailiff and in the presence of the said Wm Adams and Robt Andrewes two customary tenants of the said manor testifying a messuage or tenement in which he then lived to the use and behoof of the said Lance and Jane Wright widow whom now he has married and the heirs of the said Lance forever which same surrender was made in writing but the said Lance took away the said writing and lost it
