Atwoods | and furthermore whereas at a court here held 20.7.1631 Dionisia Hawksby then wife of Jn Hawksby clerk was admitted tenant of the lord for her lifetime to two cottages converted into one with appurtenances the remainder thereof to Mary Lancaster and the heirs of her body legitimately procreated and in default of such heirs the remainder to Margt Lancaster and the heirs of her body legitimately procreated as is shown by the court roll now at this court it is shown by the homage that the said Mary died before this court without heirs of her body legitimately procreated and that the said Dionisia after the last court died upon which came here into court the said Margt by Jn Ludgater her husband in his part of deputy and humbly sought admittance to the said cottage with appurtenances to whom the same Margt through the hands of her said deputy the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said cottage with appurtenances to the said Margt and the heirs of her body legitimately procreated from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and she gave to the lord her fine but fealty was respited |
