whereas at a court here held 1.12.1624 Edw Cressner gentleman was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and his heirs to about 16a of land lying in Lowefeild below the house late inhabited by Jn Wroo and then by the said Edw on one part and adjoining one croft of land called Kivitts Field then or late in the hands of the lord on the other part and whereas at the last general court here held for the manor on the said 15.1.last it was shown by the homage that the said Edw after the then last court died seised thereof and that Geo Cressner gentleman is his son and heir as is shown by the said court roll now to this court came the said Geo Cressner and humbly sought admittance to the premises to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said 16a of land with appurtenances to the said Geo Cressner and his heirs from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine and made fealty
