and furthermore whereas at a court here held 19.5.1629 Jn Church gentleman was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and his heirs to one croft of land called Burrowes containing about 3a as is shown by the said court roll now to this court came the said Jn Church in person and surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of his said steward the said croft of land with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Rich Warde his heirs and assigns forever who present in court humbly sought admittance to the premises to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have and to hold the said croft of land with appurtenances to the said Rich his heirs and assigns forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine and made fealty and afterwards in the same court and the court sitting came the said Rich Warde and in full court surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the said steward the said croft of land with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Rich himself and Grace his wife and the heirs of the said Rich forever to whom the said Rich in person and the said Grace by the hands of Edw Browne in the part of her deputy and attorney the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have and to hold to them and the heirs of the said Rich from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and they gave to the lord their fine
