whereas at a court held for the said manor 26.12.1639 Agnes Somerson was admitted tenant for the term of her life to one messuage or tenement called Francis with the appurtenances the remainder thereof to Thos Somerson and his heirs which said Agnes is yet living now at this court the said Thos did come and desired to be admitted tenant to the said remainder of the said messuage and premises after the decease of the said Agnes to whom the lord of the said manor by his said steward did grant and deliver thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said remainder of the said messuage and garden with the appurtenances to the said Thos his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs due etc when the said remainder shall fall in possession and he gave to the lord for a fine and did his fealty
