30swhereas at a court held for the said manor 3.6.1656 Jn Clerke was admitted tenant to him and his heirs to the reversion of a tenement called Golds with the curtilages orchards gardens and appurtenances to the same belonging which premises Eliz Dow widow did then hold for term of her life now at this court it was presented by the homage that the said Eliz is since dead and whereas Ann Burton widow in and by her last will and testament in writing bearing date 28.9.1653 did give and bequeath the full sum of 30li of lawful English money to be laid out by Sam Burton her son to buy a house for the use and behoof of Grace her daughter the wife of Thos Wright for and during the term of her natural life and after her death to the only proper use of the heirs of her body lawfully begotten of to be begotten now at this court came the said Jn Clerke and in consideration of 25li of lawful English money part of the said 30li paid to him by the said Sam in part of performance of the said last will did surrender into the hands of the lord of the said manor by the hands of his said steward the said tenement called Golds with the curtilages orchards gardens and appurtenances to the same belonging to the use of the said Grace for and during the term of her natural life and after her decease to the use of the heirs of her body lawfully begotten or to be begotten and for default of such issue to the use of the heirs and assigns of the said Grace forever to which said Grace by the hands of the said Sam her attorney and deputy in that behalf the lord of the said manor by his said steward did grant and deliver thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said tenement and premises to the said Grace for and during the term of her natural life and after her decease to the heirs of her body begotten and for default of such issue to the heirs and assigns of the said Grace forever of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs due and of right accustomed and she gave to the lord for a fine
