whereas at a court held for the said manor 28.3.1627 Jn Pennocke and Margery his wife were admitted tenants to them and the heirs of the said Jn Pennocke to one tenement or cottage with the appurtenances now at this court it was presented by the homage that the said Jn divers years since died so seised and that the said Margery did him survive and it was further presented by the homage that the said Margery since the last court died of the said premises so seised and that Jn Pennocke is cousin and heir of the said Jn that is son and heir of Wm Pennocke deceased who was son and heir of the said Jn Pennocke deceased and thereupon the said Jn Pennocke the son by Giles Crow his deputy did come and desired to be admitted tenant of the premises to which said Jn Pennocke the son by the hands of his said deputy the lord of the said manor by his said steward hath granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said tenement or cottage with the appurtenances to the said Jn Pennocke his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services due and he gave to the lord for his fine but his fealty is respited
