whereas at a court here held 2.11.1652 Dan Rogers clerk was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and his heirs to certain lands and customary tenements called Parkefeild and Chewneys with appurtenances now at this court it was presented by the homage that the said Dan Rogers after the last general court viz 12.8.1661 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Jn Browne instead of the bailiff and in the presence of Wm Adams senior and Jas Day two customary tenants of the said manor the same witnessing etc the said lands and tenements called Parkefeild and Chewneys with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Jn Garrett junior of Earls Colne gentleman and his heirs and assigns forever who present in court humbly sought admittance as tenant of the said premises to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have and to hold the said lands and tenements with appurtenances to the said Jn Garrett his heirs and assigns forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine
